In 1959, three determined young women from Detroit began frequenting Hitsville USA, the legendary Motown recording studio. Under the expert management of Berry Gordy, these aspiring singers transformed from The Primettes into The Supremes.

It was Florence Ballard who chose the name that would become synonymous with success. Little did they know, they were about to become the most commercially successful act in Motown history and America's most beloved vocal group.
